RULES ARE MEANT TO BE FOLLOWED.

OOC rules. Just scan the list. Read in-detail if you find it necessary.

• We are anti god-mod.
  Meaning, you are your character, and your character only. Manipulation is obviously a big part of the culture around here, but to a certain extent. You cannot control anyone else's actions or behaviors. In addition, sorry to say, but in battle, not every attack can be blocked or sidestepped. Not everyone can be an invisible ninja. With that said, some can be more powerful than others, but absolutely no one is invincible. Not even the Black Wizard himself. ...But don't tell him that.
  
  
• This site is PG-13.
  Please try to keep mature content to a bare minimum, seeing as we will have members of all different ages. Some people don't feel comfortable with excessive amounts of cursing or violence, so if you feel your thread is heading in that direction, please put some kind of PG13 indication on it, just so we're all aware.
  
  
• OOC is always PG-13.
  Sure, this RP world may be a little violent and chaotic, but that doesn't mean it has to apply to life out of character. Cursing, excessively sexual discussions, and overall things that could be deemed inappropriate are prohibited.
  
  
• Mature content above PG13 is limited to the taverns and specified private areas.
  Seeing as content exceeding PG13 is prohibited, there will be certain designated areas were subjects that could, well, get a little out of hand can be posted. Still, please watch what you write, and it is appreciated that you avoid "detail" on certain subjects for everyone's sake. We don't need to know the full extent of your character's sex life. What happens behind closed doors STAYS THERE.
  
  
• Please read the rules for creating characters.
  That way, before you go on and make a full-blown bio, you'll know what to avoid and what can't be included. It makes character creating easier for everyone if you know what you're doing before hand.
  
  
• There is no character limit.
  However, I know some of you have eyes bigger than your stomach, so don't take on more than you can handle. You have the choice of making multiple accounts or keeping the whole crew on only one. Just please have a way of keeping them organized so we don't all get confused.
  
  
• All races must have a human form.
  Meaning, if you choose to be a sea serpent or phoenix, they must have a way of appearing human. Races such as elves or vampires do not apply to this, seeing as their facial features are very similar to mortals. If you aren't sure as to whether you
  need a human form or not, please feel free to PM a staff member.
  
  
  
• This is a Literate RP.
  A 7 sentence paragraph is the minimum for every post you write. Really people, it's not that difficult to describe the scenery a little to get to that seven. I think we can all handle it. There's no limit to how long a post can be, however. Feel free to run with it. Absolutely NO one liners.
  
  
• Check your grammar/spelling.
  We all make little mistakes every once in a while, but please try your hardest to spell and use grammar correctly. If you notice a typo in your post, please go back and change it.
  
  
• Activity checks are in existence.
  They will not be frequent, but please be aware of them. I ask that all members register with their emails to make contact easier. If members are inactive for months on end, I'm sorry to say their accounts will be deleted.
  
  
• Thread checks
  Every month, I will go through the threads and look to see which ones haven't been posted in a while. I will then send a mass PM with the names of these threads in them. At that time, if you wish to keep a certain thread alive, go post in it! All finished threads will be moved at this time.
  
  
• Fluid-time is frowned upon.
  Please keep a character to one thread at a time. You can have as many characters as you like within one thread, but the same character cannot be in two places at once. I feel it keeps a better timeline as far as events, relationships, etc. Also, I don't want anyone to hold themselves down with a multitude of threads and then disappear. Please be considerate of other RPers and post as often as you can.
  
  
• Do not spam.
  We have two, count 'em, TWO boards for spamming: Advertising and the Randomosity board. We do not need it anywhere else. Believe me.

IC rules. Just so you know how this world works.

• Magic cannot be used in the town square.
  There is a barrier surrounding this grouping of shops and markets that blocks out all magical ability for the protection of humans. So please, do not try to break this barrier. The spell is, like, a million years old. So don't mess with it.
  
  
• This RP is set in the 1800s.
  Even though the technology used in this RP is mostly 100% fantasy anyway, please keep the time period in mind while creating characters and roleplaying. This means no cellphones, ipods, laptops, or any other modern technology. Sure, you could have message transporters, portable victrolas, steam-powered jetpacks, etc. Have some fun with technology.
  
  
• As the title states...
  Around here, rules were practically made to be broken. Sure, there's still a police force and all, but that doesn't mean we all have to be law-abiding citizens. Running amuck is what this place was made for.
  
  
• The Black Wizard's identity is unknown to all outsiders.
  This goes for the Bloodhawk's as well. Unless you are on the inside of either organization, no one can see behind the masks. That is, unless they're smart enough to figure it out on their own as time goes on. They don't trust many, however; you may never know just who it is sitting across the table.
  
  
• Feel free to cheat.
  This rule applies to the many casinos and outside gambling spots scattering throughout the world. We aren't here to be fair, so don't expect others to be.
  
  
• One cannot simply walk into the hideout.
  I mean, the friggin' thing is UNDERGROUND. If you weren't made knowing where it is, you DON'T know where it is. If you happen to be Bloodhawk's follower, I wouldn't suggest just inviting your buddies to come on down on a whim; we should all know he doesn't take to visitors lightly. A formal invitation is the only way to be safe.
  
  
• Anyone can play minor characters or NPCs.
  We all need the runner of the tavern, a mechanic at the engine repair, a teacher in a classroom, etc. Feel free to make them up as you go along, but don't surround your whole RPing with them. They are to be used sparingly.
  
  
• OBEY THE BLACK WIZARD OR YOU SHALL DIE AN UNUSUALLY PAINFUL AND FIERY DEATH WITH MANY POINTY OBJECTS AND RABID ANIMALS INVOLVED.
